Don't be deceived by the cozy fireside seating and claims of casual dining, this is a Chances
casino bar. It's principal purpose is to serve drinks to patrons playing the slots. We dropped by just after 9 on a Thursday evening. The kitchen was closed and there were no wait staff other than the bartender. Which meant a line up at the bar for service, no tabs and no one to clear tables. There were three tables with six or more empty glasses and pails of discarded pull tabs on them.
I have no issue with casino bar service. Many an evening have I nursed a gin and juice and
p!##ed away my kids inheritance. However the Well sells itself as a place for date night drinks and snacks. Brown's or Townhall would have been a far better choice.
The venue was aggressively promoting a live band and buffet to bring in the new year. Perhaps they were better staffed then. -

Bad turned to worst...
went for dinner tonight in hoped service would be better than it has been in the past.
1st issue, the Bellini I ordered sat on the bar for around 10 mins waiting to be picked up, we finally got fed up of waiting and watching it turn to gross peach juice, my family member went and grabbed it. It was like putting a straw in canned peaches, no slush, for something that was supposed to be a double it definitely wasn't. Didn't taste good at all. Way too much syrup.
2nd issue, after the Bellini I sent back as that's not how they should be or regularity made like everywhere else... got another drink and then the "bartender" added ice after we specifically asked for no ice in not just one drink but TWO drinks. Another family member had to order her drink at the bar to make sure it's actually made properly. After sending 3 drinks back in a span of 30 mins they finally made them right.
Issue 3, took an hour to get our dinner... extremely slow kitchen and lack of motivation. We ordered 2 salads, a rice bowl and a thing of ribs which don't take an hour to cook.. the rice bowl was cold, salads still had the bottom ends of the lettuce (rust spots, in culinary terms) we spoke to the manager and he seemed pretty careless and unapologetic about the whole thing. Although he did make an effort to fix the problem by comping our meal after we made it clear how pissed off we were, it doesn't fix the problem with slow service...
If the food was hot and clean, service was faster, drinks weren't sugary syrups then the place might be decent. After tonight, we definitely won't be back. -

Had buffet dinner with friends for my birthday celebration and our experience was great. Limited food selections but everything were delicious from salad to dessert. We all enjoyed our food. The staff were very friendly and the place was great too. Highly recommended to try and will definitely go back here.

I previously rated the Well 5 Stars, I'm not sure what has happened over the last 6 Months but many of the friendly servers have left...management??
I visited on March 30th and was informed by the bartender (L****Y) that I would have to wait 10 minutes if I wanted my preferred brand, I assume they were having issues with the lines or kegs...I suggested they just substitute with another brand, this was possible but I would have to pay the difference in price or wait...I assume the difference in price between brands was minor...I was very surprised that they were unwilling to consider offering an alternative product at the same price because of their problems...this would be common sense for most customer service businesses...
I left without purchasing that beer...ps...we were planning on having dinner there and a couple drinks which would have been at least $60 - $70...Good call... -

The atmosphere is a bit 'industrial' but if you sit near the fireplace it warms up literally and figuratively. Plus there is free live music on Friday and Saturday nights for some local entertainment. The staff are friendly and food reasonably priced. If you sign up to their newsletter there's regular specials.
